High density cleaner is an essential component of a paper machine used in the pulp and paper industry. The main purpose of high-density cleaner is to remove heavy contaminants, such as sand, glass, metal, staples, and other impurities, from the pulp slurry before it enters the paper machine.

The slurry of high density cleaner enters the high density cleaner, and water is injected to create a vortex or whirlpool effect within the tank.The heavy contaminants, being denser than the pulp fibers, are pulled towards the outer wall of the cleaner by centrifugal force. Simultaneously, the suspended particles are carried towards the center, forming a vortex.
